​The Evolution of Renovations

The Slow Evolution
​It is a rare privilege to spend over a decade refining a single vision. Nestled just minutes from the gates of Jasper National Park, this 4,000-square-foot executive ranch has been our greatest challenge and our most rewarding labor of love.
What began as a daunting undertaking has evolved into a masterclass in patience. From the foundational infrastructure to the final interior flourishes, every change has been a step toward a home that honors its mountain roots while embracing a modern, executive soul.

Phase I: The Integrity of the Envelope
The invisible work that ensures a legacy home lasts for generations.
  • Infrastructure: Complete modernization of plumbing, electrical, and heating systems, including a 2025 transition to a glycol-based PEX-A system.
  • The Shell: Full roof replacement across the estate and outbuildings; insulated and cleared crawl spaces for mountain-climate efficiency. Driveway paved, Cedar siding re-stained 
  • Exterior Artistry: Complete staining of the primary residence and garages; extensive landscaping and a series of cement decks and stairs to integrate the home with the ridge.


Phase II: The Interior Sanctuary
Breathing fresh life into the private spaces.
  • The Primary Suite: A complete demolition and full-scale renovation of the bedroom and bath.
  • Gathering Spaces: A total overhaul of the family room and a living room update featuring custom mantels and refined flooring.
  • Functional Design: Relocated laundry facilities, a guest entry bath renovation, and a high-style overhaul of the back entryway.


Phase III: The Expansion
​Adding scale and versatility to the estate.
  • The Carriage House Concept: Construction of an entirely new garage featuring a loft, private deck, and a custom breezeway connection.
  • Flex Spaces: Creation of a sophisticated home office and refreshed guest quarters.


    On the Horizon 2025–2026: We are currently finalizing the guest wing bathroom (from demo to design) and preparing for the final "crown jewel" of the restoration: the Kitchen and adjacent flex-sitting rooms.
  • 2026-28: Creating a finished loft space in the carriage house

A NOTE FROM LODGE & LEGACY

Thank you for joining us on this journey of restoration. 
​ Lodge & Legacy didn't begin as a grand mission; it began with a house we simply wanted to call home. We didn't yet know the magnitude of what lay beneath the surface, nor the historic significance of the 1904 masonry that would eventually define our path.
As we moved in, the stories began to unveil themselves—one brick, one beam, and one mechanical overhaul at a time. We have learned that restoration, much like dance, requires immense patience for the process and a deep respect for form.
We welcome the rigor of the work, knowing that preserving a legacy is a marathon, not a sprint. We are honored to share these stories with you as we steward this sanctuary toward its next hundred years.
